Meet our association, and the fine folks who work behind the scenes to keep it all humming.

Our dedicated Officers and Directors put in countless hours, ensuring that CHAN approved/produced shows offer an experience that the weekend cutter can enjoy—no matter their level of experience with the cutting horse.

Officers

JB Atkins

President

JB has been a CHAN member/director for a several years. He is Co-Chair of our Futurity Committee and organizes the 'behind the scenes' cattle operation at our shows. He currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the National Cutting Horse Association.

Mike Christensen

Vice President

Mike has been a CHAN member/director for 30+ years. He is the Chair for our Nebraska Futurity. He has also served on several National Committees for the NCHA. Mike also serves on the Executive Committee for the National Cutting Horse Association

Deb Watts

Secretary/Treasurer

Deb has served as a member/director of CHAN for many years and works on 'behind the scenes' tasks, such as keeping Standings up to date, keeping track of show results, and letting folks know about upcoming shows through social media.

Kelly Troyer

Director

Kelly has been a CHAN member/director for many years and continues to show consistently at our weekend shows and Futurity.

Don Troyer

Director

Don has been a member/director of CHAN for 20+ years. He is Co-Chair of our Futurity Committee and organizes the 'behind the scenes' cattle operation at our shows.

Mark Kasperbauer

Director

Mark has been a member/director of CHAN for several years. In addition to assisting in the set-up of shows, Mark brings fresh ideas to the table as he is one of our newer additions to our Directors.

Tom Schultz

Director

Tom brings a fresh outlook to the Association as he is new to the sport. He competes at our weekend cuttings in Amateur and Non-Pro classes and excels in business and personal relations.

Director

Welcome Dr. Robert Taylor to our board of Directors! Bob has been cutting with us here in Nebraska for the past few years and brings a fresh perspective to our board from an Amateur perspective.
